General Tips to Remember
- Always remember to keep your mag out of the gun at staging areas and until everyone has goggles on.
- Never dry-fire! This will ruin your gun.
- Never use .12g BBs! They will ruin your gun, they are very inaccurate, they shoot hot, and tend to shatter.
- Never shoot someone point blank!
- Exercise new mags before using. Take a speed loader and fill each mag, then empty it and repeat three times.
- Don't talk while you're being shot at. BBs can chip teeth.
- Clean your gun after every game.
- Gas weapons tend to function poorly in the cold because O-rings shrink and the gas condenses.
- Also watch for problems with AEGs in the cold because internals can shrink.
- If your gun begins to make an unfamiliar noise, stop using it immediately and investigate the problem.(see next tip)
- Never open a gun without fully understanding its internals and an organized work table.(this may not apply to people with experience in the mechanical and engineering fields)
- Never put anything besides WATER in a WATER bladder. (it happens more than you would think)
- Stay hydrated. (even in the winter)
- Lock your car door at public events. Things can be stolen.
- Bring multiple batteries to events.
- When it comes to guns, try to stick to well-known brands.
- Use silicon oil when cleaning your guns and mags.
- When buying equipment , always read reviews by reputable people.
- Remember, heavier BBs have less range but greater accuracy.
- Listen!
- Use common sense!
- Be honest!
- Be safe!
- Have fun!
